This could also use an if statement as a formula, but it forms a basis for if-then-else statements.If B2 is x then we set C2 to 4, if it’s anything else then C2 is set to 0.

This could be used with data validation (drop downs) to create more complex math statements

If range(“B2”).value=“x” then
Range(“C2”).value=4
Else
Range(“C2”).value=0
End if
